In addition to performing many of the functions of a Solutions Engineer, the Principal Solutions Engineer have increased responsibility that includes business analysis, client relations, staff development and being a lead resource on projects.
This position requires proficiency with certain ScerIS software products and technologies. These skills can be attained through attendance at ScerIS University (http://sceris.com/about-sceris-university.htm) or through experience as a ScerIS Solutions Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Plans and designs business processes and makes recommendations in order to improve and support business activities
- Assist Project Managers (or act as Project Manager) in defining project requirements, criteria for success, milestones and schedules
- Create and assist with demonstrations of ScerIS solutions to prospective customers in support of Business Development
- Identify business and technical requirements through interviews, research and prior experiences
- Analyze current business processes and makes recommendations on change
- Install, troubleshoot and configure ScerIS Solutions on Windows 200x servers
- Troubleshoot client issues and follow through to completion, while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
- Work on multiple projects or client issues simultaneously
- Be a mentor to and assist other members of the Professional Services organization
Requirements
- Strong communication (written and oral) skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving skills and organizational skills
- Enjoy working with technology and using technology to improve business processes
- Demonstrated proficiency in ScerIS Software including Repository (Server, Full Client and Web Client), E-Forms (including Offline E-Forms), Print2ScerIS, Pack and Go (Standard, with Indexes and for Spreadsheets), Seamless Integration, AutoRun and ScerIS Reporting Client
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing Microsoft SQL queries and stored procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in OCR technologies (structured and unstructured)
- Ability to travel up to 25% (with some overnight travel required)
- Able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Sponsorship is not available for this position
Minimum Education
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science or related field
- Completion of ScerIS University, experience as a ScerIS Solutions Engineer or ability to pass ScerIS Software and Application Certification tests
