Western Carriers Brings Life to Billing

Sudbury, MA, 27 June 2006 - Western Carriers, a trucking and warehousing company based out of Auburn, MA, engaged with ScerIS to help them streamline their billing services. Working with distribution companies primarily dealing with wine, Western Carriers strives to provide optimal service, and desired a billing process that was timely and accurate. After a period of consulting and research ScerIS developed and implemented Decision Based Automated Billing.

The automated billing application allows Western Carriers to assemble a billing document with an invoice and the appropriate documents to substantiate it, based on processing rules defined down to customer specific levels. Each customer invoice is produced as a single PDF file, ensuring customer requirements and preferences for invoices are met, without additional resource expenditure by Western Carriers.

The ScerIS system acts as an overlay to Western Carrier’s enterprise resource management (ERM) system, which allows for seamless integration. The client address book maintained in the ERM is the same one containing rules for billing through ScerIS.

A process that once consumed tremendous resources is now fast, efficient, and more accurate.
