ScerIS Announces New E-Forms & Workflow Products
Sudbury, MA, 5 December 2007 – Today ScerIS, Inc. brings a new generation of E-Forms & Workflow to the market, offering a modern solution to organizations seeking the heights of efficiency, accessibility, and security for their business processes. Applicable to work processes across the enterprise, this application enables organizations to create, complete, and instantaneously direct forms and data through the appropriate reviews and approvals.
The E-Forms component offers advanced capabilities and controls, balanced by an intuitive user interface that allows forms to be created easily by technologically novice and technologically savvy users alike. Simple drag and drop and prebuilt controls enable users to quickly design sophisticated forms. The forms can automatically perform calculations resulting in less data entry and greater accuracy. The technically-inclined user will not be limited by the simplicity of the ScerIS E-Forms interface as tools are included to create unique controls and manipulate form functions down to the most rudimentary levels.
Once submitted to the workflow environment, in-process and completed forms and data are directed through the appropriate processes and can be viewed, noted, and re-routed by workflow users. Notes and a history of every action regarding the document (including access) are stored in the workflow system. Upon completion of the workflow steps, forms are rendered in an unchangeable format for records management purposes, and data is formatted for use in other host applications.
Forms created and used in this environment not only save natural resources which is a primary goal at ScerIS, but are developed faster, are easier to use, and are more secure than physical forms.
- Developed Faster – Even the most complex forms involving database look-ups and validations are developed in less than one hour per page offering rapid deployment.
- Easier to Use – Web based workflow allows E-Forms to enhance any environment with added mobility and efficiency. Managing forms becomes a simple task with automated delivery, filing, and recovery. Updates to forms can be performed without reprogramming a web portal or reprinting and replacing form stockpiles.
- More Secure – Form data is secured in the ScerIS WIP environment and committed to an unchangeable format upon completion (with the storage of data for reuse). Signatures are captured through signature pads or as X-509 electronic signatures and are stored with date and time stamps to allow for secure approvals to be made without the ability to make unauthorized changes after approval (as is possible with paper forms and many other electronic forms.) An audit trail is made available for the complete lifecycle of the document from the moment it is first authored.
- Added Functionality – Information captured in this environment is available for search, analysis, and reporting in a way that is impossible or impractical in other formats. Captured information is available for automating processes in current host applications.
“From the easy to use, web based dashboard, you can complete any E-Forms & Workflow action and manage your active information,” says Jim Walckner, President & CEO, “ScerIS E-Forms and workflow are appropriate for organizations seeking to reduce costs, replace manual processes and enhance core applications.”
