Forms Design & Processing Services

ScerIS solutions include online applications that replace paper forms, but ScerIS also provides design, printing and processing services for organizations that continue to require a paper document.

Proper form design must consider the way in which the document will be completed or how information will be subsequently captured from the form in order to optimize the entire business process.  ScerIS forms are typically designed with red framed fields for hand printed text and mark sense.   These borders drop out during scanning which provides for a better recognition result.  (Forms are printed for customers in the ScerIS Print Center).

Some forms are designed for hand print recognition engines (Intelligent Character Recognition, ICR) which work best with fully segmented printed characters. Other forms are all machine printed (such as tear-off remittance vouchers) and are automatically read using OCR (optical character recognition) processes, 1D bar codes and 2D bar codes.  Check boxes and radio buttons offer additional methods for presenting or capturing key data elements.

Paper forms are frequently used for testing, quality assurance, new hires, time & attendance, invoice processing, surveys and many other purposes.

ScerIS differentiates its form design/printing services from competitors with forms that are consistent across print runs and therefore align perfectly with template based automated document capture systems.
