ScerIS Joins TRR & Warrior Camp® to End Veteran Suicide

About TRR and Warrior Camp®

Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc. (TRR) is a public charity 501(C)(3), incorporated in 2005, whose mission is to end veteran and active-duty service member suicides. TRR’s award-winning Warrior Camp® program, operating since 2013 and offered FREE OF CHARGE to our nation’s warriors, has a 99.4% suicide prevention rate and 99% program completion rate.

Warrior Camp® helps prevent suicide by concentrating on repairing Military Moral Injury using a community-based multi-modality healing experience for veterans and active-duty service members. For information about Warrior Camp® and these modalities, please visit trrhelp.org/warrior-camp/.

To fund this life-saving work, TRR has licensed the use of its intellectual property to ScerIS creating a new and potentially powerful royalty-based revenue stream. Per this agreement, 100% of net proceeds from ETCETERA® software license fees are paid to TRR as royalties.

TRR’s plans for this royalty income include funding:

  • Current programs conducted at rented facilities, until the new facility is built out.
  • TRR’s $16 million capital campaign, which includes the development of its newly acquired farmland in Chatham, New York into a permanent residential home for its programs.
  • Future program operations, ensuring TRR can serve more veterans and active-duty personnel in the years to come.

“ScerIS’ commitment to integrating TRR into the core of their business model is both rare and deeply meaningful. The royalty fees generated through their initiative will help us expand access to Warrior Camp and bring our long-held dream of a permanent healing center closer to reality. For the veterans we serve, this kind of support is life-changing. For us, it’s mission-critical.”

Transforming IT Spend into Life-Changing Impact

By simply redirecting a portion of their planned technology spending, organizations using the ETCETERA® platform gain the operational benefits they need while also supporting TRR through a royalty model that funds life-saving work with veterans.

Under a licensing agreement with Trauma and Resiliency Resources (TRR), 100% of the net proceeds from software licenses are paid to TRR as royalties for the use of their intellectual property.

This means your IT investments can deliver more than just streamlined operations and measurable ROI, they can help sustain the most impactful suicide prevention program available to our nation’s warriors.

When I first learned about TRR and the Warrior Camp program, I was struck by both the scale of the veteran suicide crisis and the extraordinary impact TRR has had in preventing it. I was just as deeply struck by how insufficient their funding was, especially given the life-saving importance of their work. It was clear to me they needed a more reliable and larger source of funding to build upon their mission.

I believed ScerIS could do more than admire their mission.  I believed we could help sustain it and grow it. So our teams came together and created a program that aligned our technology platform with TRR’s life-saving work.  This program assigned maximum value to TRR’s intellectual property, establishing a royalty structure designed to help them build a permanent home for Warrior Camp and expand their operating capacity to serve more warriors.

I invite you to stand with us.  Veteran organizations and veterans themselves are introducing this program to businesses nationwide.  As a participating business, you’ll be helping to ensure that veterans and service members in crisis find the healing, hope, and connection they deserve.

Respectfully,

Jim Walckner
President & CEO, ScerIS, Inc.

Royalty Payments to TRR

ScerIS and TRR have entered into a formal licensing agreement authorizing the use of TRR’s name, trademarks, and program branding in support of the ScerIS “Software for Healing” initiative.

In this agreement, ScerIS commits 100% of the net software revenue it receives to TRR. This applies to:

  • Software licenses
  • Software portion of subscriptions (on-premises, cloud-deployed, or SaaS models)

For each initial transaction with a new licensee/subscriber:

  1. The total software-related base is determined. For licenses, it is 100% of the selling price of the license.
  2. From this amount, 30% is deducted for application development allocation.
  3. From that amount, deductions are made for any direct third-party costs directly related to the transaction (e.g. third-party lead generation, credit card fees, and financing fees, if applicable).
  4. 100% of the remaining net amount is contractually paid to TRR as royalty income.

ScerIS is absorbing all sales, marketing, presentation, demonstration and contracting, and other related costs.
