With remote workers and employees traveling on business needing to connect to business assets the opportunity for employees unknowingly giving cyber-attackers access to their organization’s network has never been higher. A recent report by the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversights and Investigations suggests that current IT strategies to mitigate these risks are not working and went on to lay out suggestions and strategies to reverse that trend. One of the suggestions – offer employees personal VPN’s in addition to their corporate VPN’s.
